Updated October 2026.

We write about real people, and we get things wrong sometimes: a date, a quote that was cut too short, a relationship status that changed after we published. When that happens we want to know, and we fix it.

What happens when you write to us

  • Every request goes to the fact-check desk the same day. Requests about a living person’s health, body, family or legal situation are read first.
  • We check your claim against the original source, not against other coverage. If you are right, we change the article, add an Updated date and, for anything beyond a typo, a short note at the bottom saying what changed.
  • We reply to the email you give us, usually within two working days, whether or not we make the change, and we tell you why.
  • We do not remove accurate, sourced reporting because someone would prefer it gone. We do remove or rewrite anything we cannot stand behind.
