Jennifer Aniston and Plastic Surgery: What She Has Confirmed

Jennifer Aniston is 57, has been famous since 1994, and still looks like the actress people remember from Friends. That is enough to keep the plastic surgery question alive forever. The useful thing about Aniston, compared with most stars, is that she answers it. She has confirmed one surgery, denied the rest in plain language, and in 2025 described exactly what “maintenance” means for her. This article collects those answers in one place.

The one surgery she confirms: her nose

In 2007 Aniston told People that she had undergone surgery to fix a deviated septum, a structural problem inside the nose that had made it hard for her to breathe and sleep. “Best thing I ever did,” she said, adding that she slept like a baby afterwards.

Because septum surgery and cosmetic rhinoplasty are often done together, fans compared photos from the 1990s with later ones and concluded her nose looked narrower. Aniston has never agreed. In a September 2025 Q&A with Glamour, asked about the rumor again, she was blunt: “As far as all the other [rumors], as boring as it sounds, it’s still mine. All of it.”

Breast implants: never

The “does Jennifer Aniston have implants” question has been asked since the Friends era, usually after a red-carpet photo in a fitted dress. The answer has not changed: no. Aniston has said repeatedly over the years that she is comfortable with her figure and has no interest in implants, and nothing in her appearance over three decades suggests otherwise. Cosmetic surgeons who comment on celebrities generally agree that her shape has been consistent since the mid-1990s.

Botox, fillers and the “maintained” line

For years Aniston’s public position was that she preferred not to inject anything into her face, and she spoke about the pressure on actresses to freeze their expressions. By 2025 her answer had become more specific rather than different. In the same Glamour interview she said:

“I’m not going to say I don’t get the facials and the lasers and all that good stuff. I mean, I’m maintained. I’m not going to just go down and let these gray hairs take over.”

She also said she enjoys peptide injections, a category of treatment marketed for skin and recovery that is not the same as Botox or dermal filler. And in October 2024, on Jimmy Kimmel Live, she admitted to trying the so-called salmon sperm facial, a microneedling treatment using polynucleotides derived from fish DNA. “I just took the woman’s word that that’s what it was, and I was like, ‘Sure!'” she said.

What she has not said is that she gets Botox or filler. Given how specific she has been about everything else, the absence is probably the answer.

What she credits instead

Aniston’s own explanation for how she looks at 57 is unglamorous. She works out most days, has talked at length about sleep and hydration, and launched a haircare line, LolaVie, in 2021. In the 2025 interview she gave one more answer that reads as a philosophy: “I have an eternal fountain of optimism and positivity. Call it youth if you want.”

She is also busy. The Morning Show, the Apple TV+ drama she stars in and produces, returned for its fourth season in September 2025, and she has been open that the work itself keeps her engaged in a way that shows on camera.

How she compares

Aniston occupies a middle ground between stars who confirm procedures and stars who refuse to discuss them. Madonna has acknowledged “surgery” exactly once and never named it. Ashley Judd explained a “puffy face” with a medical reason and wrote an essay about why the question itself is unfair. Aniston simply itemizes: one surgery, no implants, lasers and facials, no apology.
