Rebel Wilson has spent six years being asked about her weight, and in that time her answers have got shorter, funnier and more honest. On March 31, 2026, she posted the shortest yet: “I don’t think I’ll ever have a bikini body – that’s just not me.” I’ve read a lot of celebrity wellness captions. This is the first one in a while that sounded like a person rather than a sponsor.
When we first wrote this page in March 2023, it said she had a girlfriend called “Jacob Busch” and two films “coming soon” that had already come out. Consider this the correction, and the update: she is 46, married, a mother of two, and still refusing to make her body the headline.
Where the “Year of Health” really started

The 2020 “Year of Health” did not begin with a mirror. It began in a fertility clinic. “It first started when I was looking into fertility stuff,” she said in 2021, “and the doctor was like, ‘Well, you’d have a much better chance if you were healthier.'” She added: “It wasn’t even really myself, it was more thinking of a future mini-me, really.” The plan was unglamorous on purpose: long walks, more protein, less sugar, and dealing with the emotional eating she has talked about openly. By 2022 she was down about 80 pounds.
Here is my read: the motive matters more than the number. A woman who loses weight to freeze eggs is not running a makeover show, and it’s a little rude of us to keep reviewing it like one.
The surgery question, and the drug answer

Our old version said she had “not confirmed or denied” weight-loss surgery. That line has aged out. She has never said she had surgery, and nothing on the record suggests it. What she has done is talk about medication. In a 2024 Sunday Times interview around her memoir Rebel Rising, she said she had briefly used Ozempic: “Someone like me could have a bottomless appetite for sweets, so I think those drugs can be good.”
In the memoir itself she made a sharper point: she believed her agency earned well from her playing the heavier funny girl, and that losing weight risked what she called her “multimillion-dollar pigeonhole.” Hollywood logic at its finest: the only person who could fire the character was the actor.
The 2026 update: steps, Pilates and “those GLPs”
@rebelwilson When @drewbarrymore serenades you with Happy Birthday…I’m like “my life is complete” (Ps I am on the @thedrewbarrymoreshow today!)
The March 2026 Stories are worth reading in full because they are so ordinary. She is “trying to get in my daily steps, do a Pilates class once or twice a week, some strength training when I can.” Food: “Eat as healthy as I can (but let’s face it I love sweets – so I need those GLPs from time to time to give a little help).” And then the line I’d put on a fridge: “But my body has carried me through this life and I am so grateful for it!”

She has also been plain that weight comes back. “I did gain weight once I had my baby,” she told the Daily Mail in 2023, “from the lack of sleep and from the change in my lifestyle.” I find that more useful than any before-and-after. A working mother with a toddler and a court calendar does not live in a fixed body, and she has stopped pretending to.
Ramona, Royce and Rose

The real transformation of the last four years is the family. Wilson went public with Ramona Agruma, a fashion and jewelry designer, on Instagram in June 2022, writing that she had been searching for a Disney Prince, “but maybe what I really needed all this time was a Disney Princess.” She has said the post was rushed: The Sydney Morning Herald had given her a two-day deadline to comment on the relationship, and the paper disputes that it outed her.
Their daughter Royce Lillian was born via surrogate in November 2022. The couple got engaged in February 2023 and married on September 28, 2024, in Sardinia. On May 4, 2026, after a long IVF journey, their second daughter arrived: “Proud to announce the birth of our 2nd daughter Rose Estelle!… Now on May 4th it’s now 4 of us!”
@rebelwilson Proud to announce the birth of our 2nd daughter Rose Estelle! What a gorgeous blessing to have another little girl! Now on May 4th it’s now 4 of us! Ramona and I are feeling so incredibly grateful and blessed to grow our family, thank you everyone for all t…
Which brings the story back to that fertility clinic. The doctor’s advice was about a “future mini-me.” She now has two.
Work, and a very long legal year

Senior Year and The Almond and the Seahorse, which we once listed as “upcoming,” came out in 2022. Since then she starred in the action comedy Bride Hard (US release June 2025) and made her directing debut with the musical The Deb, which closed the Toronto International Film Festival in 2024 and has been tangled in litigation with its producers ever since. On July 22, 2026, the Federal Court of Australia dismissed the defamation case brought against her by the film’s young star, Charlotte MacInnes; MacInnes has said she will appeal, and the separate disputes with the producers are still before the courts. Wilson denies wrongdoing in all of them.
I mention the lawsuits because they are part of the context of that bikini-body post: she wrote it while waiting for a judge to rule on her conduct. Calm under oath, kind to her own reflection. I’d take that combination.
My take
We built this page on a before-and-after photo, and for years that was the whole story. It isn’t anymore. Rebel Wilson lost weight to become a mother, gained some back being one, uses medication when she needs it and says so. The bikini body is off the table. The two daughters are not, and I suspect she knows which list she’d rather be on.
